Brigantine is the last project we have completed on a barrier island.
The Cape May Projects are not barrier islands, but were completed using Hopper Dredging and Ocean City is a barrier island that was completed with a cutter head dredge.
The vessels used to obtain the material from the offshore borrow area is different , (Hopper versus Cutter Head) but the onshore operation( pipes, slurry , dozers, etc...) is the same for both, as depicted in the photographs I forwarded previously.
As far as other analogous projects, I would submit that none are exactly similar to each other. All are unique due to many factors some of which are; Socio economic, level of development, geographic and hydraulic conditions that differ between each.
However, with that said the Corps has completed many beach fill projects along Atlantic Ocean Barrier Islands, a few are: (Miami Beach & Canaveral Beach)- Fla; Wrightsville Beach, NC; Ocean City, MD; (Fenwick Island and Dewey Beach) - Delaware; ( Cape May, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Ocean City, Ventnor, Atlantic City, Brigantine) - New Jersey; ( Coney Island, Westhampton Beach) - NY, To name a few off the top of my head.
